Y Felinhely of Gwynedd has Leyton-Jones albinism, a congenital condition that severely affects his sight, so he has to count his strokes to know when he is approaching the wall of the swimming pool.
That hasn’t stopped Layton-Jones from pursuing her dream of reaching the 2028 Paralympics in Los Angeles.
After narrowly missing out on the Paris Games in 2024, the teenager was invited to the Aquatics GB para-swimming world-class programme.
Letton-Jones won silver in the women’s 100m backstroke S12 in her debut at the 2025 World Para-Swimming Championships.
