Indian cockroach protests: Video shows officers firing ‘pellet guns’

Thousands of people have taken to the streets in India’s capital Delhi as part of the cockroach protests, demanding education reforms and the resignation of a government minister.

BBC Verify has been examining videos from the capital which show security officers firing so-called pellet guns at protesters.

The Central Reserve Police Force did not respond to our inquiries about the use of pellet guns and protesters appeared to be injured.

He said it was too early to comment to the media in India and that he was monitoring events. Merlin Thomas and Shruti Menon report.
