An analysis of the novel reveals the playful side of Alan Turing

Dillon also copied Turing Hemlock and Later, a gay novel styled by Bletchley Park veteran Angus Wilson.

She argues that it is a novel that Turing needs to read at a critical time in his life, adding that it must have been “a powerful moment for Turing in the midst of many traumatic events.”
