The FDA has reported 72 new cases of diarrhea



The Food and Drug Administration announced Wednesday that it is investigating another eruption of Cyclosporaa foodborne pathogen that causes waterborne explosive diarrhoea. The FDA said 72 cases have been identified, but the agency did not provide details on the situation.

This announcement is the sixth Cyclospora The latest investigation by the FDA opened this year. Overall, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has received reports more than 11,500 cases (including 4,173 confirmed and more than 7,400) from 41 countries.
