Amazon’s gaming boss predicts a future where gamers won’t need consoles

Amazon’s head of games, Jeff Gatiss, told the BBC that he believes the rising cost of technology means people will return to streaming games online rather than buying new consoles.

“As hardware gets more expensive and streaming technology continues to improve, I think you’ll naturally see more people asking if they want that particular device,” he said.
