The medical announcement shocked the Dutch star
Today, Thursday, “Barcelona” officially announced the final diagnosis of the injury of its Dutch midfielder Frankie de Jong, which he received while participating in the World Cup with his country.
De Jong was injured in the camp of the Dutch national team, missing the start of the new season with the Catalan team.
“Barcelona” explained in the official message published on its “X” platform that the football player’s medical examinations showed that he suffered a rupture of the lateral ligament of the right knee.
“It has been agreed that the player will continue to receive treatment and close medical monitoring based on how his condition develops over the coming weeks.”
In its statement, “Barcelona” did not specify the official duration of De Jong’s absence from the stadiums, but the Spanish magazine “Sport” noted that the Dutch footballer will be absent for more than four months.
