The German newspaper “Bild” reported that the transfer of Karim Adeyemi to “Barcelona” is one of the surprising things in the current summer transfer period.
The newspaper justified its opinion by the fact that Karim sat on the bench a lot last season and was decisive only in some matches, and he did not participate in the 2026 World Cup with the German national team.
Bild noted that Adeyemi is far from a team player, as he belongs to a generation that believes that hard teamwork is not necessary to achieve goals that can be achieved in other ways.

Adeyemi played 24 times as a second striker (last spearhead) for Dortmund last season, which could mean Adeyemi could start in the starting line-up for Flick.
Adeyemi has also played as a direct striker in some of Dortmund’s matches, which is another option for Flick to turn to after the departure of Robert Lewandowski.
