I wanted a watch that didn’t need setting. Things escalated.

I wanted a watch that, annoyingly, didn’t seem to exist.

Ever since I was a kid, my bedside clocks have always been red, seven-piece LED clocks from Walmart or Target. It’s always cheap, easy, and long-lasting—but it does require manual intervention at the beginning and end of Daylight Saving Time and whenever the power comes on. There has to be a better way!”

My ideal watch would be automatic. It may offer auto-DST adjustment (or not, depending on the situation this bill goes up!). It can control the movement and show the real time to the second. It would show that time on a seven-segment red display—not blue, not green, not yellow, and not white. And I don’t have to install any privacy hacking software for it to work.
