Siad was one of several French men accused of helping Epstein track cars and harass women. Several women have allegedly linked them to Epstein, who abused them.
Siad also claimed that Epstein cheated on him and that he had no reason to know that the perpetrator was “dangerous”.
Siad was also being investigated in France for rape and human trafficking, which he denied.
Prosecutors in the Paris district of Nanterre say an investigation is underway to determine the cause of Siad’s death and an autopsy will be conducted.
Siad’s name appeared in nearly 2,000 articles released as part of the the unnamed Epstein fileswhich shows that he regularly sent Epstein pictures of women he met while traveling.
In one e-mail to Epstein in 2014, Siad compared his recruiting work to fishing.
“Being busy with this I feel like a fisherman sometimes I save fast, sometimes I don’t catch fish.”
Siad has yet to be questioned by investigators in France but has denied the allegations against him, saying he wants to be heard to explain what happened.
Siad’s lawyer said he died an innocent man.
“If he died of a heart attack, the unbearable waiting, stress and anxiety he faced every day would have had something to do with it,” Menya Arab-Tigrine told AFP.
Siad is not the first person in the modeling industry to be linked to the Epsteins who died suddenly in France.
In 2022, Jean-Luc Brunel has hanged himself in prison in France after being arrested on charges of procuring wives for a US billionaire.
Epstein died in US prison in 2019 while awaiting trial for human trafficking by suicide, according to US authorities.
For victims, Siad represented a way to “examine what happened” related to Epstein, said Juliette G., a former French prosecutor who says Siad hired her in 2004 to inform Epstein.
“Another link in the chain has been lost that could have helped reveal the truth and identify the perpetrators,” said the woman, who asked not to be named to protect her privacy.
Former Swedish actress Ebba Karlsson, now in her fifties, first sued Siad in February, accusing him of raping her when she was 20.
“It’s very disappointing,” Karlsson told AFP. “He was very close to being arrested. We worked hard on this, trying to have justice”.
