Wolves: Striker Tolu Arokodare forced to cancel training

Wolves striker Tolu Arokodare refused to leave the field, forcing him to cancel training.

BBC Sport claim the 25-year-old has sat down and asked the club for a move to Fiorentina.

Wolves have accepted an offer from Turku club Trabzonspor and rejected an offer from Serie A.

Aroccodare’s actions prompted new boss Cesar Peixoto to interrupt the session on Monday.

Arokodare will miss Wednesday’s friendly against Maidhead United as Wolves continue their pre-season plans.

The latest incident comes after another striker, Molineux, was booked for a collision with young striker Mathieu Mane in April.

Arokodare signed from Genk last summer for 24mpa, Wolves finished bottom of the Premier League and were relegated, scoring just 3 goals.

And the incident poses a challenge for Peixoto in the weeks leading up to his reign after he replaced Rob Edwards in a surprise move last month.

The 46-year-old, who has played once for Portugal since his move from Gil Vicente, is aiming to return Wolves to the Premier League at the first attempt.
