Agreement has been reached…and the official announcement remains
The Belgian team has agreed on the name of its new coach, who will take over the technical leadership of the “red devils” during the next round.
The Belgian federation has announced the departure of its French coach Rudy Garcia after the end of the 2026 World Cup.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano announced that the new coach of the Belgian national team will be the Dutch Mark van Bommel.
Through his official X account, he added: “An agreement has been reached between the Belgian federation and Van Bommel to continue until June 2028 and the coach is ready to replace Rudy Garcia.”
The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich player does not have much coaching experience in his career, as he has managed only 3 teams: PSV Eindhoven, German Wolfsburg and Belgian Royal Antwerp.
