Chelsea England are keen to sign defender John Stones on a free transfer following his departure Manchester City.
The west London side have joined Inter Milan in considering a move for the 32-year-old, who became a free agent after his City contract expired at the end of June.
Chelsea Negotiations are also underway for signing Crystal Palace defender Maxence Lacroix While evaluating other options on the market, including Como’s Jacobo Ramon.
They are looking to sell central defenders to make room in their squad for potential new arrivals.
Fellow England international Trevoh Chalobah is in talks to join Como, while Axel Desassi and Benoit Badiashil are available for sale.
Made 295 appearances after joining from Stones City Everton for £47.5m in 2016.
He helped the club win six Premier League titles, the Champions League, two FA Cups, five League Cups, three Community Shields, the Club World Cup and the UEFA Super Cup.
The former Barnsley defender also has 93 international caps and was part of the Three Lions side that finished third at the World Cup.
