Spain captain Rodri’s future remains open as uncertainty continues over his next destination as his Manchester City contract comes to an end and speculation mounts about his next career move.
Rodri helped La Roja win the 2026 World Cup on Sunday after beating Argentina 1-0 in the final.

He confirmed that some members of Los Blancos’ board of directors are trying to reach an agreement with the 30-year-old player, who is ready to move to the Santiago Bernabeu in view of extending his lucrative contract with Manchester City.
However, the role of Real Madrid president Florentino Perez will be decisive, as he had previously rejected the idea of signing Rodri due to his age, status and transfer fee.
