The English giants are in intense talks with French club Lille to sign Moroccan Ayoub Bouadi, one of European football’s hottest rising talents.
According to Nicola Shira, an Italian journalist specializing in the transfer market, he reported in his account.
The Italian journalist noted that Manchester City are moving aggressively to complete the deal early in an attempt to outbid two other major European clubs who have expressed an interest in signing the Moroccan player.
Manchester City see Bouadi as a star project for the future and so the club are keen to move quickly to finalize the deal before competition heats up for the services of the player, who has recently caught the eye of Lille and then the Moroccan national team at the 2026 World Cup, notably against Brazil where he put in a superb performance.
Manchester City’s move confirms the growing interest in young Moroccan talent in European arenas, after Bouadi became one of the names widely followed by the continent’s biggest clubs.
