It starts early… Fixing Al-Ahly fixtures for Confederations Cup clubs

Media reports have revealed Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ahli match dates for the Confederations Cup clubs, as it will be forced to start the competition early in the next edition.

Al Ahly is participating in the Confederations Cup for the second time in a rowwhere he last started in the quarter-finals of the Africa and Asia-Pacific Cup before losing to the Pyramids of Egypt.

And according to Saudi newspaper Asharq Al-AwsatAl-Raqi will start this game early, particularly in the Africa and Asia-Pacific Cup qualifying play-offs when they face the Oceania champions on August 26.

If Al-Ahli reach the quarter-finals, Al-Ahli will face South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns, the champions of the last edition of the African Champions League, on September 19, with the winner advancing to the semi-finals.

Al-Ahly are looking to continue their success abroad as they once again compete in the Confederations Cup, having won the AFC Elite Champions League title twice in a row.

Notably, this is the third edition of the Confederations Cup in its new form, as Real Madrid won it in 2024, before Paris Saint-Germain won it last year.
