Spain’s World Cup champions met with King Felipe VI, Queen Letizia and their daughters Princess Leonor and Princess Sofia after their return to Madrid. The royal family paid tribute to the team’s talent, determination and historic achievement.

The team kicked off the celebrations with a bus victory parade through Madrid, where nearly two million fans lined the streets to welcome the world champions home.

This happened after Spain beat Argentina 1-0 in the World Cup final in New Jersey on Sunday night.
