No one wakes me up from my dream… Javi sends thank you messages after winning the World Cup

Barcelona and Spain star Xavi wanted to share the most important moment of his football career with his followers, just hours after winning the World Cup with El Matador.

The “Barcelona” midfielder published an emotional message on the “X” network, accompanied by two photos that summarize his story. a photo of his first steps into the world of soccer as a child playing for La Liara Balompie in Los Palacios, and another of receiving the World Cup on the pitch at MetLife Stadium in the United States.

Javi (21 years old) commented on the two photos saying: “No one wakes me up from this dream. The dream of a boy from Los Palacios who dreamed of winning the World Cup with his country.” Javi also recalled the tough times he went through due to injuries and stressed that all the sacrifices were “worth it”.

Xavi also expressed his gratitude to everyone who supported him throughout his football career, mentioning his family, friends and Real Betis, where he started his football career, especially the Barcelona and La Masia academy.

He wrote: “I owe a lot to everyone who welcomed me to La Masia from day one, as well as to the coaches and administrative staff at FC Barcelona who helped me develop as a footballer and as a person, allowing me to become a world champion.”

The midfielder also remembered his grandmother, sending her a touching letter, in which he thanked her for the extra strength she had given him in the last few months.

Xavi played 76 minutes during Spain’s World Cup campaign, starting in the first leg against Cape Verde, as well as appearing in the final minutes of the round of 32 against Austria.
