A 16-year-old Milford Haven student has pleaded not guilty to trying to kill a teacher.

A student has been found not guilty of attempted murder after he stabbed his teacher in the head with a kitchen knife.

Vicky Williams, 16, was chased out of her empty classroom at Milford Haven Comprehensive School in Pembrokeshire on February 5 after he asked for help with his history work.

He took a knife out of his bag and kissed her. Williams told jurors at Swansea Crown Court she feared she would die.

On Monday, he was found not guilty of attempted murder, but guilty of wounding with intent and wounding by unlawful taking.

During the attack, Williams grabbed the knife, pushed the boy with her foot and screamed.

After the attack, she suffered injuries to her head, back and hands.

She said looking at him. The face of a teenager was “pure hatred”..

During a police interview, Williams described how the boy, who was 15 at the time and cannot be named because of his age, came into her classroom “cool and collected” at the end of the school day to ask if “the job was right.”

She said he was “confused” because he “didn’t seem troubled before.”

It was when he closed the door of the room that it was cold that the “alarm bell” started ringing in her head.

Williams said he was trying to “keep talking to her” while “trying to find something in his bag.”

“I ask him again, ‘Are you sure you’re okay?’ And then he took (the knife) out of his bag and looked at me,” she said.

The boy told the court Williams saw him with a knife and was going to “grab him”. “He accidentally assaulted her” during the fight, he said.

“I was scared I was going to die, I saw a knife, I knew I had been stabbed, all I could think about at that point was ‘I need help’,” she admitted to the court.

Williams said the attack “came out of nowhere.”
