Germany’s Bayern Munich unveiled their new away kit on Monday in what was widely interpreted as a decisive message to Real Madrid over the future of their France star Michael Olissi, as the international appeared as the star of the show in the launch video, wearing the new kit in several scenes, as if the Bavarian club wanted to prove to the world that he will remain a Bayer Leverkusen player.
According to reports from Sky Germany, Bayern Munich have no intention of letting Olissi leave, as the club still have full faith in Real Madrid president Florentino Perez’s personal assurances that the Royals do not plan to sign him this summer. The player and his agents also confirmed to Bayern Munich during the 2026 World Cup that he intends to stay in Munich.
Bayern Munich’s Belgian coach Vincent Kompany appeared in the opening video and gave a clear message, saying: “We’re all excited for what’s to come”, a statement that reinforces the idea of the project’s continuity and ambition, clearly showing that Ulysses is an essential part of the club’s future plans.
The internal stance of the Bavarian club has not changed since Olissi has been linked with a possible move to Real Madrid, as everyone at Bayern Munich, the six-time European champions, is in favor of a decisive decision.
Olissi’s contract with Bayern Munich is extended until 2029 without a penalty clause, giving the Bavarian club a strong negotiating position should they receive offers to sign the player. However, Bayern’s management are not thinking about selling him at all, but are rather discussing the idea of extending his contract and putting him at the top of the club’s wage scale.
