Andy Burnham takes the nation’s top job and Sir Keir Starmer makes his final speech as Prime Minister.
“My job is done,” Starmer said to a cheering crowd and wished Burnham well.
After repeated assurances that he would stay in place, Starmer announced he would quit on June 22 – four days after Burnham won the Westminster seat.
