A La Roja coach makes the event happen
Spain’s Luis de la Fuente made world football history after leading his country to the 2026 World Cup title after beating Argentina with a penalty kick in the final, an unprecedented achievement on a personal level.
According to the Scocca Football Statistics Network, De La Fuente became the oldest coach to win a World Cup title as he achieved the feat at the age of 65 years and 29 days, surpassing the previous record in the tournament’s history.
