The Red Jinn refuses to give up Imam Ashur and Marwan Atiya
There have been interesting developments in the transfer market in the past few hours after Al-Ittihad faced a determined stance from the Egyptian Al-Ahly management, who refused to part with one of their most famous stars despite a large financial offer. The management of the Saudi club received a strong blow in their efforts to strengthen the ranks of the team before the start of the new season.

The newspaper adds that Al-Ahly’s management rejected the offer, insisting on receiving a greater financial consideration if they consider selling the player, especially since he is considered one of the main pillars of the team and that the club signed him in July 2023 from Danish club Midtjylland for around $3 million.
The newspaper notes that Imam Ashour currently earns around $315,000 a year at Al-Ahli, making the financial offer presented by Al-Ittihad very attractive for the player, but the stance of the club’s management has prevented the deal from being completed.
In the same context, Al-Riyadiya explained that the name of midfielder Marwan Atiyah has also entered the interest of the Union after the start of negotiations regarding Imam Ashour, where the player’s agent, who manages the pair’s files, presented Marwan’s name to Saudi club officials to explore the possibility of signing him.
According to the report, Al-Ahly received an offer of $3.5 million to part with Marwan Attia, on top of the player’s annual salary of $2.5 million, while he earns around $257,000 a year with Al-Ahly.
The paper concluded its report by stressing that Marwan Attia’s chances of leaving Al-Ahly are very limited in the current transfer window, given the club’s management’s insistence on keeping the player despite the financial offer he has received.
