Dean is looking to strengthen his midfield
Two of the stars of Egypt’s Al-Ahly and Pharaoh are on the table for Saudi club Al-Ittihad, who are looking to strengthen the midfield in preparation for the new season.
Newspaper citations “Sports” Saudi Arabia said on Sunday that Al-Ittihad Sports Administration included the Al-Ahli players among its options due to their technical appreciation, but would not make a formal move until German coach Jens Wissing had resolved his technical needs in preparation for a decision on whether to open the door to talks.

Marwan Atia (27 years old) occupies the position of central midfielder. During his career, he played 250 matches, during which he scored 4 goals and 11 assists. He has a contract with the Red Giants until the summer of 2029, and was also included in Egypt’s squad for the current World Cup.
As for Imam Ashour (28 years old), he has remarkable offensive numbers, participating in 247 matches, during which he scored 53 goals and made 37 assists. He has a contract with “Al-Ahly” until the summer of 2028.
Ashour, a former Zamalek player, featured in all five of Egypt’s 2026 World Cup matches, where the Pharaohs’ journey ended in a dramatic 3-2 defeat to Argentina at a crucial time.
