A new challenge
talk French defender Jules Cunde On his future with Barcelona after his retirement from the Roosters at the 2026 World Cup.
It comes after Kunde was rumored to be leaving in the current summer transfer window.
The 27-year-old France defender played for a few minutes in the thrilling third-place match against England, which ended in a 6-4 defeat for France, before he sadly bid farewell to the tournament following another slump with his country’s national team.
After the match and the World Cup, Kunde spoke in the mixed media area and sent a message about his future plans after being linked with a possible move away from Barcelona.
Conde said: In statements given to “DAZN” network“What I’m hoping for is to have a great season and get a good rest first so I can come back stronger. I want to have a better season and help “Barcelona” as much as I can,” in the message, in which he clarified that his attention is fully focused on the Catalan team.
Kunde’s name has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich in recent days, as the German club include him in their target list, but he has yet to make any official offer. “Barcelona” considers the French defender one of the important elements of the team and will not allow him to leave unless a big financial offer is received, which has not happened so far.
Conde also spoke about his expectations for the final match of the World Cup, but refused to tip the balance in favor of any team, only stating that the confrontation between Spain and Argentina will be very even.
The French defender added: “I will not risk making predictions. I think it will be a very equal match. Each team has strengths and weaknesses. We will see what happens, and I will follow the match.”
Kunde also revealed that he did not speak to his Barcelona teammates because he “didn’t want to disturb them”, wishing them luck in the final.
