The Portuguese star will join German coach Matthias Yesle’s team

Portuguese Francisco Trincão, a player of “Sporting” Lisbon, became the fourth acquisition of Al-Ahli of Saudi Arabia in the summer transfer period.

Media reports revealed that Al-Ahly were close to signing Trincao After agreeing the details of the deal with his Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon in the next summer transfer window.

Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadiah reports that Trincao has already signed his transfer contracts with Al-Ahly in the early hours of Saturday, for a four-year period that ends in 2030, in the presence of the club’s sporting director Rui Pedro.

According to previous media reports, the Portuguese will join Al-Ahli for €45 million, plus €5 million in variables, and will receive a salary of €10 million per year.

Al-Raqi managed to complete the deal after a series of negotiations as he entered competition with several European clubs keen to sign the player.

The 26-year-old will be Al-Ahly’s fourth signing of the summer transfer window, following Gambian defender Abu Bakr Sidi Kente from Norway’s Tromsø, Saudi winger Meshal Al-Mutairi from Abha and Armenian Edvard Spirtsyan from Russia’s Krasnodar.

This comes as Al-Ahli are close to completing another deal for midfielder Nayef Masoud, who will join from Al-Fateh.

With these reinforcements, Al-Ahli are looking to regain the Saudi League title that has been missing from their coffers for 10 years, in addition to retaining the AFC Elite Champions League title for the third consecutive season.
