Protective kit to wear for a first look at the Bayeux Tapestry

The 70-metre-long 11th-century tapestry is set to go on display at the British Museum’s Bayeux Tapestry after arriving in London from northern France last week.

He was followed by a police guard under cover of darkness from the hideout to the museum. The priceless work is set to go on display in September.

In the year Artefacts depicting the events of the Battle of Hastings and the Norman invasion of England in 1066 have been returned to England for the first time in more than 900 years. It is believed to have originated here over 1,000 years ago.
