Oscar-winning actress Brenda Fricker has died at the age of 81.

She has played nurse Megan Roach on BBC’s Injury since 1986, making her final appearance in 2010. And in 1992’s Home Alone sequel, she was Central Park’s Pigeon Lady.

“We will never see her again and the world is less for her,” her agent Phil Belfield said in a statement.

He added: “I was honored to know, love and work with her and she will always have a place in my heart and in the hearts of many film and TV fans around the world.”
