Substitute for Alvarez. Barcelona are renewing their interest in Al-Nasr star

Barcelona continue their move to strengthen their attacking line as the Catalan club are now required to sign one or two strikers in the current window following the departure of Robert Lewandowski with the possibility of Ferran Torres leaving for Paris Saint-Germain.

The Barcelona management’s priority remains the signing of Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez, but Barcelona officials understand that the deal has become more complicated in recent days.

Barcelona are expected to decide next week whether to convince Atletico Madrid to let their striker leave, while sporting director Deco continues to explore some of the available alternatives.

Duran was among the interests of the Catalan club more than a year ago. However, it appears that Portuguese side Benfica are currently the closest to securing the Colombian player’s services, while Barcelona’s moves have not progressed beyond the initial inquiry stage.
