OnePlus arrived on the scene in 2014 with a fast marketing campaign and a clear slogan: What if your phone was cheap and fast? More than a decade later, the market is very different, and so is OnePlus. Confirming months of rumors and speculation, OnePlus has confirmed is able to release phones in North America and Europe.
This has been expected for a while. After a short-term expansion in the US through partnerships with T-Mobile and Verizon, OnePlus began to shift to India after the pandemic. OnePlus has also begun to be under the control of its parent company, Oppo, to integrate its released devices and software knowledge with the main brand. However, OnePlus continues to launch flagship devices in the US and Europe, and OnePlus 15 it goes on sale in late 2025. That will be the last OnePlus phone that many people see, however.
OnePlus denied rumors of a shutdown earlier this year, but its language was vague and it did not promise to release future phones. The new word is also said with enthusiasm, but the effect is clear. “As part of a global system update, OnePlus has decided to end new product launches in Europe and North America,” the post said.
