Caitlin Clark yells at the referee during the Golden State Valkyries in Indiana Fever

Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark yelled at referee Gerda Gatling after the decision went against her team in the WNBA’s 88-75 loss to the Golden State Valkyries.

In the second quarter Clark, a three-time All-Star and one of the biggest names in women’s basketball, went up for a layup and fell after contact from the Valkyries’ Kyah Stokes. Clarke was seen pushing her when she got up.

Teammate Aaliyah Boston was called for a foul when the Valkyries’ Veronica Burton bumped into her.

Using an explosive, Clark yelled at Gatling: “Give me a call. I’ve been fouled five times.”

Clark, 24, left the court after the incident, but returned to finish the game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

“You can’t miss a call like that,” she said.

“I had to play the rest of the game with a leg injury. It’s ridiculous.

“He (Gatling) said I initiated contact, which is good. But you can’t kneel in my leg and knock me out.”

It’s the second time in a month that Clark has complained about Gatling, while Fever head coach Stephanie White Criticized the referees Last month for their assignment around Clark.

Clark was the number one pick in the 2024 draft.
