The UK economy will return to growth in May

The UK economy grew by 0.1% in May, the latest official data shows.

The modest increase was driven by growth in the UK’s services sector, but was offset by falls in the manufacturing and construction sectors, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) said.

After the economy slowed slightly in April, the US-Israeli war with Iran began to affect business.

In the three months to May, the ONS said the economy grew by 0.7 percent compared to the previous three months.
