As rumoured keep going round about the OpenAI project individual speaker and other devices, the company is today releasing its first flagship device. The $230 Codex Micro is a unique, RGB-lit keyboard designed to allow users to quickly manage and interact with multiple Codexes with a glance and a few clicks.
This device is described as a “limited partnership” and Work Louderwhich already sells a very similar to the Micro Micro line of custom square keyboards aimed at creative professionals. The Codex Micro distinguishes itself from the keys mainly through the six fifth keys on the top two rows, which provide color feedback to the Codex thread, even without looking at the screen.

Accordingly, the colored keys cycle from white when the thread is empty to blue when Codex thinks green when the task is complete. But the keys can also flash amber when the Codex needs feedback or a decision from the user and red when the thread is experiencing a problem, letting users know at a glance which Codex functions need immediate attention. A quick click on the power button brings up the active Codex window on the screen.
