Three men have been convicted of rape on Brighton Beach

Three men have been jailed after a “completely predatory, despicable and despicable” attack on a woman on Brighton Beach.

Asylum seekers Abdullah Ahmadi, Ibrahim Alshafe and Karin Al-Danasert attacked the woman early on October 4.

Jurors heard the victim was “taken out into the dark to be used as a sex toy”, she said she could still hear their laughter when she closed her eyes, adding: “My skin crawls – no matter how much I scratch it I still feel dirty”.

26-year-old Ahmadi from Iran and 25-year-old Alshafe from Egypt were jailed for 21 years each. Aldanassert, 20, from Egypt, was convicted of second-degree rape for filming the attack and sentenced to 18 years and 6 months.

Each will serve an additional six years on extended parole and serve two-thirds of their prison terms.

Sentencing the three men at Hove Crown Court, Her Honor Judge Christine Henson Casey said each had “participated in a completely predatory and disgraceful attack”.

She added: “The impact on your victim was and continues to be devastating. Her life has been profoundly and irrevocably changed.”

“Each of you treated her with contempt and each of you played a part in further degrading her in a most appalling way.

“The arrogant and righteous attitude that each of you displayed that night continued in your test.”

Earlier in the court, prosecutor Hannah Llewellyn-Waters Casey said the trio visited bars and nightclubs on Brighton Beach and were “waiting for women that night for sex”.

After leaving a club, the men quickly crossed paths with the woman in a restaurant and they all went to the beach.
