Dean McCullough and Melvyn Odom are to leave BBC Radio 1 with a shake-up.

Barry, who hosts popular podcast Saving Grace, said she was “excited” to be presenting a series of episodes later in the year starting in September.

“You’ll hear my favorite songs, we’ll be chatting with some really interesting guests and as always, in true GK Barry style, I promise plenty of humour, mayhem and scandal along the way,” she added.

Marlow will take over from O’Leary and co-host with Vicky Hawksworth from 10.30 to 13:00 BST Friday to Sunday.

The popular content creator who voiced BBC Three’s I Kissed A Girl previously hosted Breakfast for a limited time last summer.

Marlowe said she was “delighted to be joining the Radio 1 family” and said, “Because it’s radio, I hope to appeal to your ears rather than your eyes.”

Duo Milo and Rosie will take over the original breakfast slot from McCullough, who said it was a “very difficult decision” to leave after an “amazing 6 years at Radio 1”.

Northern Irish presenter McCullough, who appeared on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! In the year In 2024, he thanked listeners who have talked to him over the years but felt it was “time for a change”.
