Bournemouth The Spanish club have announced the signing of striker Alvaro Rodriguez from Elche in a deal worth £25.7m.
Rodriguez has joined Ivanilsson on a five-year deal to bolster the Cherries’ forward line, with the deal confirmed on what would have been his 22nd birthday.
Rodriguez should provide a more physical presence in attack and add competition and depth Bournemouth Ready for their first season in Europe Qualified for the Europa League.
The Uruguayan youth international, who is also eligible to represent Spain, will receive 50% of any future transfer fees after Real Madrid sold Elche last summer.
Rodriguez scored seven goals and provided five assists in 34 games in La Liga last season.
