The former Al-Ahly player has become the latest victim of the Al-Hilal club ahead of the start of the new 2026-2027 football season, based on the decision of their Italian coach Simone Inzaghi.
He said Saudi Al-Riyadiya newspaper “Al Hilal” club has agreed to transfer its player Abdul Karim Darsi to Abha team on loan until the end of the next season.
The newspaper clarified that the aim of this transfer is to enable the player to participate mainly next season in light of his departure from Italian coach Simone Inzaghi’s plans.
Darcy’s departure comes a season after signing him on a free transfer in the last summer’s transfer window, following the end of his contract with his former club Al-Ahly at the end of last season.
Darcy became the seventh player that “Al Hilal” will miss in the new season, due to the end of contracts or leaving for other clubs.
Inzaghi dropped goalkeeper Ahmed Abu Rasin, defender Ali Al-Bulaih and striker Abdullah Redif from the team’s camp, while Spanish defender Pablo Mari left at the end of his contract and Muhammad Al-Qahtani left for Al-Qadissia, in addition to Brazilian striker Marcos Leonardo, who was close to a move to Ajax Amsterdam.
It is noteworthy that Darcy participated in 28 matches for Al Hilal last season, totaling 510 minutes, during which he did not manage to become the author of a single goal or assist.
