Because of Zizu’s lesson… Zamalek gives his star the green light to leave

A strategic decision in Meath Oakbay

Zamalek have approved the departure of their international defender Hossam Abdel Majid in the current summer transfer window, marking a clear change in the club’s policy towards professional offers from abroad, after the player moved closer to his first European experience, while Zamalek are also racing against time to close their financial affairs with the International Football Federation (FIFA) before receiving their Africa license for the new season.

Journalist Ahmed Schubert revealed on Radio On Sport’s ‘With Schubert’ that Zamalek have agreed to sell Hossam Abdel Majid to Bulgarian club Ludogorets during the current summer Mercato.

Schubert explained that the Zamalek administration asked for one million and 500 thousand euros for the sale of the player, in addition to additional incentives of 300 thousand euros, as well as 20% of the international defender’s resale value in the future.

He noted that the Bulgarian club has agreed to all the financial demands made by Zamalek, adding that Hossam Abdel Majid has already completed the procedures to travel to Bulgaria to undergo a medical in preparation for the official completion of his transfer.

Journalist Ahmed Shubert said. “By the way, this is a good club. In other words, don’t get confused and say that it is a Bulgarian club. On the contrary, it is a respected club and a good move, and Hossam Abdel Majid deserves this professional opportunity.”

He stressed that the player’s departure was approved by Zamalek for fear of a repeat of Ahmed Sayed Zizou’s scenario, after the club had previously turned him down professionally in the Saudi league before he later left for Al-Ahly on a free transfer, prompting the current administration to take a different approach to professional offers.

In another context, journalist Ahmed Shubert confirmed that Zamalek is continuing to work towards ending all cases against it with the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), indicating that the club is close to closing this case for good.

He said: “Remember my words, in a few days Zamalek will finish all their FIFA business. We used to talk about 18 or 20 cases, but now it’s only 8, and the last case that was closed was the case of Ferjani Sassi, in addition to the case of the Moroccan Nahdet El-Zamamra, so the Zamamra club was redirected by FIFA. 11 cases, and the remaining cases will be resolved in the next two days.”

He added that the African license file is still related to the solution of three main issues, explaining that among them are the debts of the Ukrainian club “Olexandria” for the deal of Juan Bezera, which includes two parts with a total value of one million 200 thousand dollars, in addition to the payments of the Senegalese Ibrahima Ndiaye, which is one million 700 dollars.

Schubert noted that negotiations with the clubs are relatively easier and that Zamalek is close to settling these documents, explaining that the most important remaining issue is Ibrahima Ndiaye’s debts and if they are settled, the club will be able to officially receive the African license.
