New Zealand vs Ireland: Rob Balukown and Jeremy Loughman are fit to face the All Blacks

Loughman came on the bench against Australia as a replacement for Tom O’Toole, who started both games loosely.

Meanwhile, Leinster’s Jimmy O’Brien has started on the wing during Balucown’s absence and has impressed, with Goodman adding that form will play a part in who is selected to start against the All Blacks.

“Form obviously comes into it,” added offensive coach Goodman.

“There are some guys, like you say, Jimmy (O’Brien), from Australia to Japan who had far better performances than him.

“It’s great to see Jacob (Stockdale) back who was out for eight to 10 weeks with his injury at the end of the season for Ulster.”

Ireland will aim to end New Zealand’s unbeaten run at Eden Park which stretches back to 1994 and register their first win at the venue.

Farrell’s side have won their last six matches but lost their last three against New Zealand.

“Eden Park, we know the history of the stadium, and it’s probably the home of the New Zealand rugby team, and we’re excited to play here,” said New Zealand-born Goodman.

“We’re also going to be really proud of the opportunity to put our best foot forward and put on a performance.

“It’s been about preparation and mindset every day and I know there’s a big narrative about (New Zealand’s) streak, but for us it’s every day.”
