Israel shows no sign of being willing to attack the destroyed Palestinian territory, despite the ‘ceasefire’ in place.

At least three Palestinians have been killed and 15 others injured in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip, medical sources told Al Jazeera, as Israel continues to violate the October ceasefire agreement.

One of the dead on Monday was killed in an Israeli airstrike on a motorcycle south of Tal al-Hawa in Gaza City. 9 civilians were also injured in the attack, where two rockets were fired.

The Anadolu news agency named the person killed as 28-year-old Osama Naim Shamlakh.

Another Israeli attack in northwest Gaza City hit police near at-Twam square, wounding four officers, some of them seriously.

Anadolu later reported that one of the injured, 36-year-old Thaer Ramzi Fayyad, died later.

The details of the third person who was killed are still unknown.

Israel carried out a series of attacks in Gaza on Monday, as it showed no sign of willingness to attack the devastated Palestinian territory.

In southern Gaza, Israeli airstrikes hit Palestinian refugees in the al-Mawasi neighborhood of Khan Younis. The injured were taken to Nasser Hospital.

Another attack targeted a car on al-Rashid road in the central district of az-Zawayda, and the injured were transferred to the Al-Aqsa Martyrs hospital in Deir el-Balah.

Another young man was slightly injured when an Israeli missile struck a building in the Maghazi refugee camp.

Israeli military vehicles also fired at houses east of Bureij refugee camp and near Halawa camp east of Jabalia, but no casualties were reported.

The expansion of the territories occupied by Israel

Meanwhile, the Israeli army continued to expand the area under its control inside Gaza.

Concrete barriers marking areas under Israeli control were moved within 200 meters (656 feet) of Salah al-Din Street, Gaza’s main north-south road, in the Shujayea neighborhood of Gaza City, raising fears that Palestinians using the road could be targeted.

A ceasefire agreed in October has been repeatedly violated by Israel, which has waged a deadly war in Gaza since October 2023, killing more than 73,000 Palestinians.

Under the ceasefire, Israel must control areas behind the demarcation line, known as the demarcation line “Yellow Line”east of the Gaza Strip. Israel’s military says it controls about 58 percent of Gaza, but Israel has been expanding it slowly, and Palestinians say people have been shot and killed for approaching the line, though it changes regularly.

Gaza’s Ministry of Health says Israeli violations killed 1,108 Palestinians and injured 3,578 others.
