The Shokz OpenRun Pro is the cheapest it’s been since January

Noise-canceling headphones are great for airplane travel and focussing, but they’re not always great for outdoor workouts. The last version Screenshots of Shokz OpenRun Pro the open-ear design lets you enjoy music while you’re aware of approaching cars, cyclists, and other potential hazards, and it’s currently on sale for $109 ($50 off) Amazon, Walmartand B&H photo. This is in line with their lowest price, which we haven’t seen since January.

Unlike traditional headphones, OpenRun Pro sits outside your ears and uses bone conduction to deliver sound. This means you can listen to music or podcasts while still hearing what’s going on around you, giving you more peace of mind in busy or dark environments. The lightweight titanium case is designed to keep you safe during runs and other workouts, and the IP55 rating means you don’t have to worry about getting a little rain. You also get 10 hours of battery life and multipoint Bluetooth support, allowing you to stay connected to two devices at once.

That said, these are no longer Shokz’ headphones, so you miss out on a few upgrades. In particular, a OpenRun Pro 2 it delivers rich bass – a long-standing problem with bone-drive headphones – as well as USB-C charging and AI noise cancellation. At $179, however, it is very expensive. If it’s the open source format that interests you the most and you want to keep it, the original OpenRun Pro is still a good investment.
