Al-Ittihad Club continues its continuous moves in the current summer transfer window with the aim of building a strong squad that can fight for all the titles next season.
The Dean was reported to be keen on signing Portugal’s Pedro Gonsalves from Sporting Lisbon, in addition to Morocco’s Sofiane Amrat, the Turkish star of Fenerbahce, but has opted out of the deal to sign Khaled Al-Ghanem, pending an official announcement.
Saudi newspaper Al-Bilad has reported that Al-Ittihad are in strong talks with Al-Nasr to acquire the services of Abdul-Ilah Al-Omari following his remarkable brilliance at the 2026 World Cup.
Last summer, Mercato witnessed a strong case of the player’s defiance against the Al-Nasr administration over his desire to continue at Al-Ittihad after the 2024-2025 season, in which he was loaned to Dean and won the Roshen League and Copa del Rey titles.
The request of the Federation may cause a new case of disobedience, especially since the player had previously confirmed his love for the dean.
Al-Omari (29) is under contract with Fares Najd until the summer of 2029 amid reports of interest from French side Monaco and Portuguese side Braga.
