Sports analyst Joey Polian of the US CBS Sports network caused widespread controversy on the eve of the 2026 World Cup semi-final between France and Spain, predicting that the Roosters will win by a margin that could reach 3 or 4 clean sheets.
Polian said in television announcements. “France is far ahead of Spain. France can win 3-0 or 4-0 against this Spanish team.”
The American analyst justified his expectations of the obvious superiority of the French team at all levels, saying: “Defensively, the French team did not miss a single goal in the qualifying rounds. They have a great goalkeeper and a very solid defense. The French team has tremendous strength in all positions.”
