Laporta confirmed the Barcelona deal and “postponed” Atletico Madrid.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta landed in the American city of Dallas, preparing for the decisive confrontation between Spain and France in the semi-finals of the FIFA World Cup tomorrow, Tuesday evening.

In his press statements after arriving at his residence in Texas, the Catalan official addressed the hot transfer case, particularly the club’s stance on Brazilian Rafinha and the deals for Karim Adeyemi and Argentine Julian Alvarez.

Laporta doubts Rafinha’s future, stressing in his interview with “Mundo Deportivo” newspaper: “Rafina is a key element in our project and we never think about giving him up, especially after strengthening the attack line with the participation of Antony Gordon and Adeyemi.”

He expressed his regret for the Brazilian’s absence in the crucial part of the last season, saying: “If Rafinha had been available in the last rounds of La Liga, the Champions League and the Copa del Rey, the result would have been radically different.”

The president of “Barca” expressed clear enthusiasm about Adeyemi. “He has impressed us for a long time. He has great speed and offensive threat. Deco completed the negotiations brilliantly and we will be announcing his signing shortly.”

As for Atletico Madrid star Alvarez, Laporta praised his brilliance in the match against Switzerland, but was cautious about the deal.

“I personally contacted the management of Atlético and made it clear that our offer will remain valid until they find a suitable alternative and we will not put any pressure on them,” refusing to reveal the financial value of the offer.

I want headlines that have a creative touch and are like Laporta confirming Barcelona deal… and revealing Alvarez’s position.
