Israel’s ‘eternal war’ strategy: A race against time? | | Politics

Political analyst Daniel Levy says US policy is ‘mostly’ in Israeli affairs, the two are not mutually exclusive.

Israel is in a race against time to “lock down its sovereignty” across the Middle East, says former Israeli negotiator Daniel Levy.

Levy, president of the US/Middle East Project, tells host Steve Clemons that Israel’s strategy of “perpetual war” allows only two types of countries in the region: dependent, or “too fallen, too weak and too weak to cause any trouble”.

Israel could try to stop the US-Iran deal by promoting a “single military operation” against Iran, and “burning things” with continued attacks on the Lebanese and Palestinians despite the cessation of hostilities, Levy says.
