Classic street performer Theo Burrell has died aged 39, four years after being diagnosed with brain cancer.
Burrell was diagnosed in June 2022 with glioblastoma, an aggressive brain tumor that typically carries a life expectancy of 12-18 months.
The ceramics and glass specialist joined the BBC program in 2018 with Lyon and Turnbull auctioneers in Edinburgh as one of the specialists appraising items brought in by members of the public.
A statement on Burrell’s Instagram said she died peacefully on Wednesday surrounded by her family.
He said: “She was an incredible person who fought hard for her family, friends and raised awareness of this cruel disease.
“She’s seen life events like her son’s first day at school and her wedding four years ago that she never imagined.
“The cancer community gave her so much comfort and strength in her darkest times. But most of all, it gave her hope and I think what she wanted most was for other people to find hope in her story.”
