Arbitration expert settles dispute over validity of Al-Nasr’s goal against Al-Qadisiya

Al-Nasr’s first goal against Al-Qadisiya this Sunday night sparked a refereeing row among supporters amid questions over its authenticity and when it was awarded, before a pundit stepped in to settle the situation and clear the picture once and for all.

Al-Nasr’s first goal came in the 39th minute of the first half through Portugal’s Joao Felix with a powerful left-footed shot.

But before the goal, there was heavy contact between Brazilian Angelo Gabriel, Al-Nasri’s player and Mohamed Abu Al-Shamat, prompting the Al-Qadisiya players to ask the referee to overturn the award due to foul play.

Regarding this shot, Egyptian arbitration expert Mohamed Kamal “Rishan” said in the statements of the Saudi “Al-Riyadiya” newspaper. “The goal was right because the contact between Angelo and Abu Al-Shamat was natural.”

Social media has been on fire in recent hours over this very goal, in light of the controversy surrounding arbitration this season.
