A sudden change may occur in the new season
In the coming period, the focus of the sports community is turning to a new phase that could see significant changes in the broadcasting of local competitions amid widespread expectations from fans to know about media rights next season.
At a time when media competition around sports tournaments is becoming more intense, there are signs of a redistribution of the task of broadcasting matches between more than one party, reflecting an important shift in the sports broadcasting market within the Kingdom.
According to the announcement, Rotana Group will take over the task of broadcasting Saudi League matches on satellite channels from next season, a move that will bring the channel back to the forefront of sports on a larger scale.

The Group of Eight, on the other hand, is expected to be content with only streaming the games digitally via its official app, a trend that reinforces the shift to electronic viewing and streaming via modern platforms.
Notably, the Rotana Group is owned by Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, one of the kingdom’s most prominent businessmen and the owner of the Al Hilal Saudi Club, adding an extra dimension to the dispute over the distribution of media rights.
This information was received according to the report of Saudi journalist Abdulaziz Al-Osaimi, who noted that the final details may be officially clarified in the coming period with the announcement of the league’s new transfer mechanism.
