The victory over Belgium takes the Spanish coach to outstanding numbers
Spain continued to write records after beating Belgium 2-1 in the quarter-finals of the 2026 World Cup last night, Friday night, to secure their place in the semi-finals and add to their remarkable run of results under coach Luis de la Fuente.

Opta Network, for its part, noted that the Spanish coach has become the longest unbeaten streak in World Cup and European Nations Cup games among all managers.

The impressive numbers didn’t stop with the coach, as young star Lamine Yamal continued to make a positive impact for La Roja’s national team.
Statusfoot revealed that Spain have won all 11 matches that Lamine Yamal has started at major tournaments, be it at the World Cup or the European Cup of Nations, so the player maintains a perfect record for his country in these tournaments.
