Bedford triple murder suspect arrested by South African police

A man has been arrested in connection with the triple murder of a woman and her two children near Bedford, South Africa, police have announced.

Notabo Zandile Shuma, 42, and their daughters Natalie, 15, and Nala, five, were found dead at a family home near Bedford on Monday.

The lead suspect, Shuma Zandile Shuma, a 42-year-old Zimbabwean citizen, left the country two days ago via Heathrow Airport on a British passport.

South African police spokeswoman Atlenda Matti said on Friday that officers in the country had successfully located and arrested the man.
