The European Union is stepping up its pressure on Meta to make major changes to Facebook and Instagram after the European Commission available at the beginning which is like gameplay, infinite scroll, and personal preferences that made it change.
On Thursday, the EC said its investigation showed that “Meta has not adequately assessed the risks of its addictive design on the health and mental health of users, including children and vulnerable adults.”
“These substances stimulate the user’s desire to wander and turn the brain into ‘autopilot mode,’ leading to addictive behaviors and compulsive use,” the commission said.
